Hurricane Irma: Disney World reopens, but some attractions still dark – Orlando Sentinel

Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando theme parks are back open after two days of inactivity during while Hurricane Irma battered Florida.

Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom are scheduled to operate on their normal hours Tuesday. The Disney Springs shopping and entertainment complex also reopened today.

However, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon water parks will not open until later in the week, Disney said.

Still closed: Fort Wilderness Campground, while Disney assesses the tree-lined property. The Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue and Mickey’s Backyard BBQ, two Fort Wilderness activities, are canceled for Tuesday evening.
